With the use of a Sony e-book reader, you have the ability to take books, music and other media with you to use for business presentations or simply to give yourself a diversion while you're traveling. If your business uses Mac computers, you will need to download Mac-specific software in order to transfer files from your computer to your e-book reader. Once it's installed, the file transfer process is very simple to use and understand.
1.Navigate to Sony's Reader for Mac Web page and click 'Download for Mac.' Then follow the prompts to install the application on your computer.
2.Open the application by double-clicking on 'eBook Library' from the Mac Dock, or by clicking 'eBook Library' from the list of applications in your Applications folder.
3.Click 'File,' and then 'Import Files' to begin transferring media files, including EPUB, PDF, TXT, LRF, LRX, RTF and DOC files to your Mac. When the list of available files appears on your screen, click the file name and then click 'Import' to import that file to your eBook Library. In order to transfer files from your Mac to your e-book reader, you first need to add them to the library.
5.Connect your e-book reader to your Mac with the supplied USB cable.
6.Click 'Library' from the left side of the eBook Library application, and then click the square box to view the library contents in List view.
7.Locate the title of a book or other type of media that you want to transfer from your Mac to your e-book reader. Click on the title and drag it to the left menu, under the 'Reader' heading. You may see a progress bar appear on the top of your screen as the media is transferred to your device.
Tip
- The eBook Library will not allow you to work with DOCX files using your Mac.
